About Bill Tierney

About me

I grew up in Audubon and Limerick and my mother worked for Pohlig Builders in Malvern, a high-end home builder in the suburban Philadelphia area. After graduating with a degree in Finance from University of Rhode Island at Kingston, I returned to suburban Philadelphia. Afterward, I worked in the residential building industry with the Needleworks Lofts in Royersford, an old mill building, where they manufactured the needles to make silk stockings, that was converted into upscale rentals and condos. The Needleworks Lofts sparked the urban renewal in Phoenixville and was the first loft-style apartment/condo building in Montgomery and Chester counties. There, I worked in property management and leasing for three years and then obtained my real estate license.

When I’m not selling real estate in suburban Philadelphia, and the weather permits, you’ll find me either on the golf course or surfing. I played golf competitively in high school, in the Philadelphia Golf Association and nationally in the AJGA, so I know the golf courses in the suburban Philadelphia area. My favorite golf course in suburban Philadelphia, though, will always be the golf course at the Spring Ford Country Club in Royersford because it’s the one I grew up playing golf there. Make sure to tell me if you want to buy a home in suburban Philadelphia that’s close to a golf course.
